Outlast Announced For PC. Releases 2013. Survival Horror FPS Gameplay Trailer and Videos

Outlast is an all-new first-person Survival Horror game exclusively for the PC that releases in 2013. The game may come to Xbox 360, PS3 or other systems later on however.

The game is going for a full-bore horror experience focusing on psychological and jump scares, where the main character is all-but helpless against the terrors lurking within. All set from within an insane asylum based on actual historical events.

Story
In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the “research and charity” branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, has been operating in strict secrecy… until now. Acting on a tip from an inside source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line being science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive.

Check out the official Outlast Official Website for more and updates on the game as next year approaches.
